A successful finance professional was looking for a unique luxury yacht interior design proposal for his 75 m yacht that he kept moored in Palm Beach, Florida.
Challenge
Purchasing the vessel second hand, the previous owner kept the interiors quite classic and true to its nautical nature. The client, who has a passion for travel and is a collector of rare art, was looking for a comprehensive renovation of the yacht's interior architecture that would better reflect his personality and unique taste.
Solution
Studio Moravová approached the project as a complete reimagining of the yacht's interior architecture rather than a simple cosmetic refurbishment. Reimagined through the lens of a boutique interior architecture firm, every intervention was carefully considered to establish a more contemporary, residential atmosphere while respecting the vessel's existing proportions, structural constraints and spatial hierarchy.
The design proposal focused on replacing heavy, traditional finishes with a refined material palette of natural timber, textured stone, carved timber panelling and bespoke detailing, introducing warmth, tactility and visual depth throughout the interior. The spatial planning was reconfigured to improve circulation between entertainment areas, strengthen the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, and create a more intuitive sequence of arrival, gathering and retreat.
Every bespoke element—from architectural joinery and custom furniture to integrated lighting, curated artworks and material specifications—was developed as part of a cohesive design language. By combining architecture, interior architecture and bespoke craftsmanship under a single creative vision, Studio Moravová transformed both the interior and exterior living spaces into a made to measure maritime retreat that reflects the client's passion for travel, art and contemporary Mediterranean living.
